- The European Parliament adopted by 529 votes to 148, with 10 abstentions, a resolution on the application of Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2020/2092, the rule-of-law conditionality mechanism.The text adopted in plenary was tabled by the EPP, S&D, Renew, Greens/EFA, the Left groups.As a reminder, Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2020/2092 on a general regime of conditionality for the protection of the EU budget entered into force on 1 January 2021 and has been applicable since then.Parliament stressed that the Rule of Law Conditionality Regulation is binding in its entirety for all commitment appropriations and payment appropriations in all Member States and for the EU institutions.
